My Story
by Claudia OaxacaThis project has deep roots that began when my husband—may he rest in peace—was still alive. Together, we discovered the great joy that comes from helping others in difficult situations—an experience that filled our souls, especially when we saw a smile or heard a heartfelt “thank you.”
We visited children’s shelters in Ciudad Juárez, bringing gifts to the children on Three Kings’ Day, with the help of friends. Over time, we extended our support to nursing homes and vulnerable families. In 2015, after the loss of our daughter Eva Sofía, the desire to create “Las Obras de Eva Sofía” was born as an act of hope. Shortly after, my husband faced a severe illness and fell into a coma. Against all odds, he woke up and from that miracle, our mission grew stronger and became a family project.
After his passing in 2020, we tried to continue with the foundation Kiro & Eva, helping young girls who were victims of abuse. Although we were unable to sustain it, that experience gave us a clear vision. Today, with renewed faith and a committed team, the J. Roberto Oaxaca Foundation is born—with the mission of building strong families. We provide spiritual, psychological, and human support, firmly believing that true growth happens when we give and serve others.
Matthew 25:40 “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
